Q. I am applying to Cornell, Columbia, UPenn, and Brown...These are my high reach schools, I have ballpark schools like Vanderbilt, Rice, Northwestern, Emory, and Washington university St. Louis (Even these are high reaches, I wouldn't be suprised if all these schools rejected me.)...I also have 2 safteys. By the way My parents are from India, and I live in Houston, Texas... I don't know how many people have heard of the academic index, its a calculator that calculates your chances of admissions just based on your stats. To have a really good chance of getting in, you'd need an 8/9, I only scored a 4/9...Its on college confidential somewhere... What are my chances at the following school. A. ur gpa n sat score will hurt u the most, u need to get a least 0.5 higher and get over 2250 to apply those good colleges.

What college can I get into?

OK. so in my high school career 9th and 10th grade i had a 4.0 for my core classes, but junior year i had a 3.35 1st and i think possibly a 2.75 2nd semester. in october for SAT im aiming for a 2000, what colleges can i get into. my goal is NYU but i know my chances are slim. here is a list of top 50 colleges in US. sorry. i gave this question alota thought 4. A. If you are going to go into buisness then it really doesn't matter where you go. Look at it this way; do you plan on attending college for 2 yrs, 4 yrs, or more? Are you going to grad school? If you plan on going to school for more than 4yrs, and plan on attending a grad school so you can specialize and enhance the skills you need for the business world. Undergrad school or even your local community college is just a spring board. It is really irrelevant where you go unless you attend the top of the top, la creme de la creme, chances are you have slim chances of getting into most of that sort of college out of high school without a 5.0 GPA and 1600 on SAT.
