What do you have to say about the stimulus?
Q. I would like to start off with the fact that only 90% of this bill could even be called a stimulus. Most of it is a bunch of money for special interest groups; the last 10% is for construction and infrastructure jobs I personally don t think construction and infrastructure jobs alone will stimulate the economy. I especially don t think earmarks equals economic recovery The amount of useless spending in this bill is very shocking to me. How is $60 million dollars for sex prevention going to help our economy!? How is $40 million dollars to the liberal company ACORN going to help us!? How is $600 million dollars, which will be used to buy federal employees hybrid cars, going to help the economy!? How is $2 billion dollars towards the… [cont.]

A. While it is not certain whether it has created/saved jobs, it has obviously helped our economy a little. The markets have begun to rebound and many experts predict the end of the recession by the end of the year. I say give it a few more months and we will see a noticeable impact from this bill.
