Gail is an unincorporated town in Borden County, Texas, United States. Located on U.S. Highway 180, it is the county seat of Borden County. The town and county are named for Gail Borden, Jr., of Houston, the inventor of condensed milk. HistoryFounded in 1891 to coincide with the organization of Borden County, Gail has served as county seat for the duration of its existence. Borden County had remained quite sparsely populated until 1903, when the locally famed "War of Ribbons", inspired by a state sanctioned land grab, took place. The conflict took its name from the practice of established ranchers displaying their affiliation and identity by way of a blue ribbon on their sleeves, whereas new settlers to the area designated theirs with a similarly placed red ribbon. By 1910 Gail was home to more than 700 residents, and though this would fall to 600 by 1912 the community remained the economic and governmental hub of Borden County. Changes in agricultural practices and patterns coupled with the Great Depression brought any prosperity the town and county might have had to an abrupt halt, however, and by 1936 Gail's population had dwindled to 250 residents. By 1980 this had fallen to around 190, a figure Gail has maintained fairly consistently since. EducationGail is served by the Borden County Independent School District. From Wikipedia under the

Q. Shattering Glass by Gail Giles. The books about this group of popular guys from Texas making this class nerd popular, Simon gets too much of an ego boost, and they end up killing Coop, with a baseball bat, and Simon lives. They go to jail. Coops one of the popular guys. And while they help reinvent Simon, him and another popular boy find a secret about Rob [popular] that he was raped by his father and his fathers now in jail. I need 4 objects. I was thinking one object would be a role of tape, because of Robs secrets. Help? Thanks! Asked by MEEEEEEL - Fri Mar 20 20:59:27 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. maybe something that's stained, like clothing or something, to represent loss of innocence, or something white that you have b/c that's synonmyous w/ innocence. books can represent nerds. lillies traditionally represent death, if you've got some of those, or some dreid leaves or flowers maybe, or a burned out ligth bulb. a paper bag could represent how all these characters seem to wear masks to hide their true selves/how simon is "reinvented". a key/lock could represent jail, or a rope. a flashlight thats off could represent how these boys keep each other in the dark from their secrets/keep everyone else out. hope that helps, i'v never read this book.
