Mainz (pronounced /ˈmaɪnts/) (French: Mayence) is a city in Germany and the capital of the German federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It was a politically important seat of the Prince-elector of Mainz (see: Archbishopric of Mainz) under the Holy Roman Empire, and previously was a Roman fort city which commanded the west bank of the Rhine and formed part of the northernmost frontier of the Roman Empire. Up until the twentieth century, Mainz was usually referred to in English as Mayence. Mainz is a city with over two thousand years of history. The first European books printed using movable type were manufactured in Mainz by Gutenberg in the early 1450s. It is located on the river Rhine across from Wiesbaden, in the western part of the Frankfurt Rhine-Main Region; in the modern age, Frankfurt shares much of its regional importance. I found it very difficult to find employment, but I was offered a job at Frankfurt International Airport and on Base jobs. Since I wanted to attend Mainz University, I went to a local language school there in Mainz. They promise a 2 year program will reward you the ability to speak fluent German. Its 4 days a week 8am-12:30. I highly recommend learning the language. Its very difficult but the little I knew helped me a long ways. If I were still in Mainz I would be more than glad to meet up with you. I regret leaving but only did so because my profession interest is not provided there (P.A.). I was frankly shocked that bremen decided to play him but they are chasing schalke so they need help. plus the german team has decided to call up stefan kiessling a big striker with promise for the match. germany already has poldi and kuranyi starting up front. i think they see that they will eventually need klose but for now his health is most important.
