Why does my 1984 diesel f 250 smoke none stop and is hard to start?
Q. I have a 1984 diesel f 250 and it dont start unless i put some starter fluid in my intake ,although they tell me its no good.Will start with the fluid but it smokes like crazy . What could it be?

What F stop would you use to shoot pictures of an active child outside?
Q. I'm still learning my digital SLR camera and am very confusde about F stop and shutter speed. But what F stop would you use at about sunset when the light can be intense in some areas.

A. My first priority would be whether you want to stop motion, or have a sense of motion and activity with some blur. If you want to stop fast human motion such as a whirling arm, shutter speed will need to be at least 1/500s. However, you can give a sense of motion and speed by using a slower shutter speed and creating some blur. Second, I would be using a long focal length. A good zoom will allow you to isolate the child and fill the frame. Third, avoid photographing with the subject looking into the sun. They will squint, which is unlikely to show them at their best. Fourth, fill the frame with the child. I know my best shots of my children and grandchildren establish their context with minimal background. I just wish I could… [cont.]

What if my house is 65degrees F and my parakeet just laid eggs, will the eggs die?
Q. I live in New Jersey. Right now it's spring time so theres no need to heat the house yet it's still 65degrees F. My parakeet just laid eggs and I;m afraid thats it's too cold and the eggs will die. Is this true?

A. The parents will keep the eggs at the temperature they need . Your house is not too cold. They will also keep the babies warm when they hatch. Don't worry, the parents will take care of it.
