Help, I need to find a name for my small candle and organic soap making business? Q. I want to start a small candle and organic soap making business from my home, however I am having the hardest time to find a name for the company. In addition to making candles and soap, I will also be selling scented sheets, towels, bath salts, lotions, and shampoo. Any Ideas. Candle and soap making are not really that hard, but you do have to be cautious (making candles and soap can involve high temperatures, flammable substances, and potentially harmful chemicals). For candles, the beginner should start with container candles (usually in tins or glass jars) as this will get you some experience working with waxes, wicks, dyes, and scents. Note that there are many differnt types of waxes (container, pillar, soy, gel) and scents (not all are all safe together). For soap, you should start with melt & pour (M&P) to get the hang of it. I would recommend that you look at some of the sites I provided links to, take a lesson, or buy an introduction book/video.
