Brady is a city in McCulloch County, Texas, United States. Brady refers to itself as "The Heart of Texas", as it is the closest city to the geographical center of the state. The population was 5,523 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of McCulloch County. GeographyBrady is located at 31°7′56″N 99°20′29″W / 31.13222°N 99.34139°W (31.132252, -99.341255). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 11.5 square miles (29.8 km²), of which, 9.2 square miles (23.8 km²) of it is land and 2.3 square miles (6.0 km²) of it (20.16%) is water.
