How do I select the first 2000 characters from a word document?
Q. How do you select the first X number of characters from a word document? I know about number and character count, but I don't want that. I want Word to select / cut the first 2000 characters (exactly) from a document.

A. You'll need to write a script to do this. After much searching, I couldn't find anything specifically designed to do what you're looking to do, but with some creative combination of a selection script and a clipboard-cutting script, it's certainly doable. This site here (see below) contains lots of Q&A with a scripting guru; if nothing quite helps, I would suggest posting this question on that forum; he can likely write something in minutes that will do what you need to do.

How many characters in my book can I have?
Q. Okay I am writing a novel and I have like 14 characters. You some of them are very little roles and some of my characters are killed how in a book. I'm just asking is there a limit to how many characters you can have in a book and how many characters are usually in a book. I'm just worried that people will get confused.

A. You can have as many characters as you'd like. For example, Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace has nearly 600 characters. Fourteen is easily manageable for the common person, just make sure they are distinct and do not become easily confusable for the reader. If you should choose to publish, and editor could help you combine or remove characters in the event that 14 becomes too much to handle.

What should i name my characters in my comic?
Q. I am about to start making a comic, I don't know a lot of details yet, but I am drawing out my characters now. I have a pencil with a big gun and a cow with a M16 assault rifle. Any suggestions for names? If you really want to be creative you can give me some more character suggestions, but please make them animals or something creative! alright i have changed the pencil to a chicken... so the pencil is out of here... i also have a drug dealer penguin and a Russian squirrel that happens to be an arms dealer his name is Ivan (ivan the terrible) you get it if you know your history. :D

A. I think that you should choose: Viva for the gun:because it shoots and ends the life or you could name it also Victor Farooja:for the chicken and by the way it's taken from the arabic word "Farooj" which means A chicken Rippel Rifle:for the rifle that's my suggetsions hope that u like it
