How soon will the chinese be assuming the white mans burden in Africa?
Q. With half a million chinese nationals in Africa, and the western influence on the wane. Will the chinese replace the white man as the number one blame target for everything that gets fowled up. Mugabe chases the productive farmers out of the country who feed the nation as they are white, a blatant racist, yet blacks and africans some how work it round to blame it on western sanctions for driving the nation into famine and poverty even though the chinese have been trading everything with them. Its not the 1980s any more with apartheid.

How come chinese translations are posted in some government offices of Vancouver?
Q. I thought that in Canada, there are only two major languages - English and French. But how come in Vancouver schools and some government and nonprofit offices, chinese translations are posted beside english announcements instead of the french translation? If chinese translations are provided, how come other languages were not provided? Are the chinese exempted from learning English? Will Vancouver eventually be a Chinese speaking area just like the French speaking areas in Quebec?

A. Because Vancouver was a popular place for Chinese immigrants from Hongkong, China and etc. The Chinese population must have increased quite a fair bit, and that some of these Chinese do not know how to speak English and French. Hence, the authorities place chinese translation for these people. As for not having french, maybe they think most Canadians are conversant in both English and French, hence only one major language is required to convey the posts

How can Chinese places afford to give you so much food for such a cheap price?
Q. My husband and I can share a chinese meal and still have leftovers and it only costs $7. How can they afford to do this? They seriously give you like 25 pieces of chicken and a pound of rice and an egg roll. It's so much food!

A. Because place like pizza-pizza, mcdonald, kfc, etc, they overcharge you a lot. for chinese place, they sell food at lower prices since they only sell it at a price a little bit higher than the actual cost. plus, their ingredients are not really expensive and they tend to import the relatively cheap ones. the labour cost is not so high either compare to western restaurant. usually Chinese people work in Chinese restaurant. most of them are immigrants or students who desperately need a job and will settle for minimum wages. plus, they have to sell it cheap. they are running business in western country!!if they sell it expensive, people will not want to go there and eat! it is considered exotic food, not every western people can get used to… [cont.]
