From Yahoo Image Search: "Cities in Texas" I am going to Texas soon for work, and I have a choice of two cities..... Is Austin Texas better than Houston? Q. I am 23 and will be going to Texas, and so far, I have not made up my mind. I will either go to Houston, or Austin. I know that Houston has more job possibilities, but it is more humid. I hear Austin has a cool music scene going on over there, but I am not really sure if it is better than Houston. Please let me know, I would like to relocate to the best city. I think Austin is better and I should know because I grew up in Houston and have lived in Austin for a long time. Austin just has a better vibe all around. Houston is too big and the traffic is horrendous! The freeways are always under construction and it takes too long to get anywhere! So, if that doesn't deter you I don't know what will. Austin is so much more fun for any age! I would go there for sure! Answered by mamarivers - Mon Feb 18 12:40:31 2008 Best cities to live in Texas? Q. My family is thinking about relocating to Texas from Michigan. Which city (or cities) are the best to live? Also, what are the best suburbs surrounding the city (or cities) that you list? We want to live in an area that has good schools, that is safe, that has nice homes, that has diversity, and that has things to do (or at least nearby). Thanks for your help. And then moved back to Michigan because I really did not care for Texas. If you're used to the Michigan weather, the breeze, the nice warmth...don't go to Houston. It's humid beyond belief and it's like a giant concrete shelter for Katrina victims. Central Texas is nice, I really like the Fort Worth area. The further south you go, the grosser the weather gets.
