Jehovah (pronounced /dʒɨˈhoʊvə/) is an anglicized respresentation of "the proper name of God". It is a transliteration of Hebrew יְהֹוָה‎, a vocalization of the sacred Tetragrammaton יהוה, the name that, according to the Bible, God revealed to his people. יְהֹוָה appears 6,518 times in the traditional Masoretic Text, in addition to 305 instances of יֱהֹוִה (Jehovih). The earliest available Latin text to use a vocalization similar to Jehovah dates from the 13th century.

Are Jehovah witnesses starting to get lazy?
Q. I remember before they used to talk to you for what seemed like an endless conversation. Now they don't even say anything, they just give me a pamphlet. They are also younger now. Is anybody else experiencing the same thing? Or am i one of the few people that actually open my door to Jehovah witnesses lol.

A. At times we have different campaigns. Sometimes it is to be very quick and leave a special message with as many people as we can in a short period of time. We have found that be distributing a special message on a pamphlet very quickly it gets talk about. Normal activity is still going on

How do Jehovah's Witnesses Avoid Pledging Allegiance to a Country?
Q. Say for example a JW decides to immigrate to a country such as Australia or the United States and in order to accept the citizenship of that country they have to pledge their loyalty to that country. Would a Jehovah's Witness be allowed to do this as a once of thing without risk of being ex-communicated from their church? This isn't about the national anthem or flag worship - it is about immigration to a country Allegiance pledge. You have to say the words or you don't become a citizen of that country. I am not talking about Permanent Residancy Full U.S Citizenship or Full Australia Citizenship. There is a ceromony involved in Australia that must be attended and words pledged

A. I was raised a Jw and my Grandmother came to the us from Germany she never became a citizen of the us for that very reason but no you won't be disfellowshiped alot of things are a matter of how you feel about something if you feel it is wrong and jepordizes your relationship with jehovah then it is wrong but if you dont you can get away with it ... it just depends on where you live and how the elders where you live are ..

How can help my parents leave the Jehovah's Witnesses?
Q. My parents have believed that everyone in the world is going to die but Jehovah's Witnesses since 1974. Their dedication to 'The Society' as taken them away from their only family. They are showing signs of mental illness. They are overly emotional, very judgemental and they stare off into space and swear 'armageddon' is coming anytime anything happens in the news. What can I do to help them realize they are being brainwashed by a manmade organization?
Asked by The Truth - Fri Jun 12 14:03:26 2009 - - 24 Answers - 1 Comments

A. What you described is not mental illness it is what happens to people who are Jehovah's Witnesses eventually. Very emotional ...Wouldn't you be emotional if every fiber in you believed your family (children and grandchildren will shortly be laying on the earth being eaten by the vultures? Even Paradise hopes can be dimmed when you think all those you love will not be in Paradise with you .How sad . I remember being at my parents home and my sisters were there with their families and it was almost 1975 and we (Jehovah's Witnesses)My husband and I and daughters , were really expecting any moment the great tribulation would strike and the door of opportunity would close forever leaving everyone we knew outside. My family and his. I… [cont.]
