A season is one of the major divisions of the year, generally based on yearly periodic changes in weather.
Seasons happen due to the yearly revolution of the Earth around the Sun and the tilt of the Earth's axis relative to the plane of revolution. In Temperate and Polar regions, the seasons are marked by changes in the amount of sunlight which may cause animals to go into hibernation or to migrate, and plants to be dormant.
The Northern hemisphere is closer to the sun at times of the year than the southern, it is exposed to more light causing summer to come into action at different times as the earth revolves.
In temperate and polar regions generally four seasons are recognized: spring, summer, autumn, winter.
In some tropical and subtropical regions it is more common to speak of the rainy (or wet, or monsoon) season versus the dry season, because the amount of precipitation may vary more dramatically than the average temperature. In other tropical areas a three-way division into hot, rainy and cool season is used.
In some parts of the world, special "seasons" are loosely defined based upon important events such as a hurricane season, tornado season or a wildfire season.
Chinese seasons are traditionally based on 24 periods known as solar terms, and begin at the midpoint of solstices and equinoxes.[2]*

Season tickets for AFC Championship game?*
Q. Im look for tickets to the AFC champ. game this sunday at Gillette Stadium and i talk to this guy who said he was selling 2 tickets, he said he had season tickets and needed to sell becuase he couldnt make it, but my mom said that season tickets dont count this game. So do season tickets cover this Game?Its the AFC Championship game before the super bowl.I just dont want to get ripped off, i know there's alot of scams with these tickets.

A. I have Chargers season tickets and they always give us the option to buy the playoff tickets for both games at the end of the season whether or our team makes it to each round. So we always buy both playoff tickets in October or whatever.I have a Chargers title game ticket which obviously is not good since they aren't playing here. So, they will apply that money to my season ticket package next year. And, I have purchased a ticket for the game at Gillette this Sunday seperately.As for this situation, I wouln't be surprised if the guy bought the tickets but can't make it to the game. It's always a coin toss when you buy them from an independent third party so make sure to get as much informaiton as possible from this guy before you buy…

The Hills Season Two DVD??*
Q. I'm trying to figure out which season of the hills to buy on TV, because I completely stopped watching TV for like a year. I just started watching again a few months ago, and The Hills specifically like one-two months.
